‘Clunkers’ program goes into overdrive

CNN reports here: U.S. consumers across the country have been lured into parting with sometimes beloved, gas-hungry vehicles to buy new, more fuel-efficient ones at a discount in the wildly popular “Cash for Clunkers” program. One dealership in California said business doubled in the past week.
